History of the Journal

JSHMDC started its publication in 2019 from Shalamar Medical and Dental College, Lahore, Pakistan, as "Medical Journal of Sakina Begum Institute (MJSI) with online ISSN: 2707-1588 and print ISSN: 2664-0449.  Prof Dr Bilal Bin Younus was Editor In Chief of the "Medical Journal of Sakina Begum Institute (MJSI).

In 2020, "The Medical Journal of Sakina Begum Institute (MJSI) was renamed as "Journal of Shalamar Medical and Dental College" (JSHMDC).  Prof Dr Adeela Shahid was appointed as Editor In Chief of the Journal of Shalamar Medical and Dental College and the Journal resumed the publication process in 2021 with online ISSN: 2789-3677 and print ISSN: 2789-3669.

Journal of Shalamar Medical and Dental College (JSHMDC) has continued its publications as the official journal of Shalamar Medical and Dental College, Lahore, Pakistan since January 2021 (Vol 2, Issue 1; 2021).
